This district program encourages kids to read by offering them exciting, friendly competition based on their knowledge of a group of books.  The goal of the program is to encourage the interactive reading of excellent children's fiction and discussion of these books by teams of 4 to 6 children.  Students read at least 5 of the 10 books by the end of March, discuss them, and then compete in teams to answer questions based on the books in a "quiz show" format.
