Skyview student leaders had great effect on food drive
- Care
- Collaborate
We are honored to nominate the leadership students of Skyview Elementary for their outstanding contributions to our community through their recent food drive initiative. These exceptional young leaders demonstrated extraordinary care, collaboration, and engagement, setting a shining example for us all.
Their project began with a heartfelt desire to make a difference for those facing food insecurity. The students took the initiative to organize a school-wide food drive, encouraging their peers, teachers, and families to participate. Through their efforts, they collected an impressive amount of over 1,200 food items to donate to a local shelter, directly impacting the lives of individuals and families in need.
What makes their achievement even more remarkable is the way they approached the project. They exemplified care by understanding the importance of their mission and showing empathy for those they were helping. Their collaboration was evident as they worked together seamlessly, combining their unique strengths and ideas to ensure the success of the drive. Perhaps most inspiring was their engagement: the students actively involved the entire school community, fostering a spirit of unity and shared purpose.
Their leadership teacher sponsors, Mrs. Quintana, Mrs. Kuzmich, and Ms. Faulkner have taught the students of Skyview Elementary Leadership Club that age has no barrier in making a significant impact. Their efforts not only provided much-needed support to the local shelter but also inspired everyone around them to come together and contribute to a greater cause. By showing us the power of care, collaboration, and engagement, these young leaders have left a lasting impression on our community.
For their compassion, dedication, and exemplary leadership, we wholeheartedly nominate the Skyview Elementary leadership students for this recognition. They have truly shown what it means to lead with heart and purpose.
