Dear Families,

With August winding down, we are getting ready to focus on our second SHINE trait of the year: honesty. We’ll be introducing this trait next week and providing students with strategies to be honest, even when it is hard. We hope you continue to build this habit at home too.

• Smiles and happy “Good Mornings” from students and parents each and every day.  
• We had a great PTO meeting last Tuesday. Thanks for all the families who are helping to support the school through fundraisers, teacher appreciation, and planning community events! We hope to see even more families at our September meeting when we plan Trunk-or-Treat – a classic Skyview tradition!

We’re looking for some amazing volunteers to help with our Vision & Hearing Screenings on Monday, September 14th from 8:15–11:15 AM! 💙💛

Your help will make a big difference in making sure our students have a smooth screening experience. And as a BIG thank-you, lunch will be provided for all volunteers! 🥗✨

🏃‍♀️ Girls on the Run 👟

 GIRLS ON THE RUN IS COMING TO SSYVIEW!! Girls on the Run creates a welcoming environment where girls feel like they belong. Girls will learn tangible tools to build confidence to do hard things, strengthen their resilience with stick-with-it strategies, take on challenges, believe in themselves, and much more! Over the 10-week program, coaches help girls learn to unlock their unlimited potential. Girls on the Run will start the week of August 31st. We will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:35-4:00. Open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls. Registration is open! For more information about the program and to register, go to www.girlsontherunrockies.org. Questions? PTO Volunteers Needed

Hi Skyview Families!

We’re looking for a few awesome volunteers to help us with Spirit Wear Fridays throughout the school year!

Every Friday, students who participate in Spirit Wear Friday receive a ticket, and we need volunteers to help collect the tickets and hand out a Comet prize to the lucky winner.

It’s a quick and easy way to get involved at Skyview, see some smiling faces, and help us keep Spirit Wear Fridays fun for our students!

You do not have to commit to every Friday. Whether you can help once, once a month, or more regularly, we’d love to have you!

It’s Easy to Support Skyview

Skyview can receive a donation every time you shop at King Soopers at no cost to you. Simply go to http://www.kingsoopers.com or for City Market Stores - go to http://www.citymarket.com. Once logged in, search for Skyview Elementary School either by name or YX222 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account, which requires some basic information, a valid email address, and a loyalty card.

Colorado Gives Day

What is Colorado Gives Day? Over the years, Colorado Gives Day has evolved into the biggest 24-hour giving movement in the state, bringing in over $500 million since its inception in 2010.
