Dear Families,

 

As we finish our second week together, students are beginning to settle into the school routines and build new relationships. These routines and relationships will continue to develop over the coming weeks, leading to strong learning. Thanks for your support and trust each day!

🎉 Good Things

• Most classes are finishing up MAPS testing. These math and reading tests help us assess baseline levels for each student so we can better meet their needs.
• Part of rolling out our SHINE habits includes a new Skyview chant. Students are starting to learn it and join in during assemblies and daily announcements. You can try it out here.
• Kindergarten Signing Day was last Friday. We love watching the kindergartners sign their names with the giant pencil. They are doing a great job settling into their classrooms!

Tuesday: PTO & School Accountability Committee Meeting

Everyone is welcome to join us for our PTO/SAC meeting on Tuesday from 5:30-6:30. Here’s the agenda. You can attend in person in the library or online. We will send the online link out right before the meeting via the Adams 12 app. Make sure your notifications are turned on. 

Free and Reduced Lunch Application

Apply now for Free and Reduced Benefits for the 2026-2027 school year! Remember, all families must reapply each year. Apply today through the SchoolCafe Family Hub. We use this information to Reduce School Fees: Most fees will be waived, or partially waived, for any student eligible for Free or Reduced Benefits. These include athletic fees, course fees, and activity and field trip fees tied to the curriculum.

🍎 Student Snack Update

We’re excited for another great school year—and we want to make sure our students are ready to learn, grow, and tackle the day with plenty of energy!

This year, the office will not be providing snacks for students, so we’re asking families to please send a snack with their student each day.

A simple, nutritious snack can help students stay focused and energized throughout the school day. Some easy ideas include fruit, granola bars, crackers, cheese, veggies, or other favorite school-friendly snacks.

Please remember to pack a snack every morning so your student is prepared for snack time. We appreciate your help in making sure everyone has something tasty to enjoy!

What is Colorado Gives Day? Over the years, Colorado Gives Day has evolved into the biggest 24-hour giving movement in the state, bringing in over $500 million since its inception in 2010.
